Abbott, Hockey Knew Budget Would Hit Poor Hardest

Acting Greens Leader Adam Bandt MP said that Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey have been caught out on their Budget.
“Joe Hockey has been caught out hiding these damning figures by his own department,” said Mr Bandt.
“Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey have nowhere to hide now that the Treasury has confirmed that they knew their Budget would hit the poor hardest.
“When Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey call this a fair Budget, they are lying.
“Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey knew on Budget night that they would hit the poor hardest, but they covered it up and went ahead anyway.
“The Abbott Government needs to go back to the drawing board, stop attacking the poor and instead ask Gina Rinehart and the big banks to pay a bit more,” said Mr Bandt.
