RESPONDING TO RACISM WORKSHOP
The hateful ideas of Hanson, Trump, and Bernardi are having real impacts on our multicultural city, making members of our community feel unsafe and unwelcome. It's more important than ever to show that we strongly reject these ideas and stand in solidarity with people experiencing racial discrimination.
We know that one-on-one conversations are the best way to connect with people and bring our community together to Say No to Racism. You might be having these conversations with friends, at local community events, or at our doorknocks on May 13 when we'll be talking to people across the inner city and encouraging them to stand with us and Say No to Racism.
This is an important and sensitive issue, and we know that talking about racism can sometimes be tricky. That's why we're holding a Responding to Racism Workshop to give you skills and information about how to have meaningful conversations about racism.
At the workshop you'll have the opportunity to hear from people in our community who have experienced racial discrimination and learn what you can do to stand shoulder to shoulder with them and Say No to Racism.
