MARRIAGE EQUALITY ACTION BRIEFING

We shouldn’t be here, but we are. The Government has hit go on its postal vote for marriage equality. We hope the High Court challenge will stop this damaging plebiscite. But if the postal vote does go ahead, we need to make sure that Australia votes YES.

The Greens are working alongside the marriage equality movement to call on all Australians who understand that all love is equal to join the campaign to ensure that our voice is the loudest. Now is the time for us to stand and fight for marriage equality. Now is the time to demonstrate that all LGBTIQ Australians are equal, worthy and loved. 

We know that the majority of Australians support Marriage Equality. Here in Melbourne we have the strongest support in the country. But we need to make sure that everyone votes and votes YES!
