Federal Member for Melbourne Adam Bandt is calling for community proposals to mark next year’s ANZAC Centenary.
Adam Bandt will establish a Electorate Committee consisting of representatives from community groups interested in the ANZAC Centenary, including ex-service organisations, education institutions and museums.
“One way or another all of us have been touched by the World Wars. Both my grandfathers served in World War II, one in the Pacific, one with the British Navy. It is important that we use the ANZAC Centenary to mark and remember the contribution people like them have made.”
$100,000 is available to be distributed to a number of groups from the Department of Veteran Affairs in the electorate of Melbourne.
Expressions of interest are welcomed by Mr Bandt and applications open 31 May.
