Don't Cut Paid Parental Leave

Nick Xenophon and the Senate crossbench, save Paid Parental Leave.

Take Action

Please stand alongside mums, dads and families & add your name to our petition.

To Senator Nick Xenophon and your crossbench colleagues,

Looking after a new child is one of the most important jobs in the world. You can save Australian families' Paid Parental Leave. Please vote to block Malcolm Turnbull's cruel cuts to parental leave.

Why is this important?

They're at it again. Despite the Senate opposing their last three attempts to cut Paid Parental Leave, the Liberals are now trying to cut nearly half a billion dollars from the scheme by stealth.

It's now up to Senator Nick Xenophon and the crossbench Sentors to protect Paid Parental Leave. If the Nick Xenophon Team blocks the Liberal's cruel plan, PPL will be saved.

The World Health Organisation recommends that new mums spend 26 weeks at home with their babies. The Greens want mums and dads to have more paid time off with their newborns, not less. We're standing for a proper Paid Parental Leave scheme and well-funded childcare that supports all families, especially those on low and middle incomes.
