A person dies every two weeks from drug overdoses within two blocks of Victoria Street in Richmond. These deaths are preventable. The evidence is clear from cities around the world, including Sydney: medically supervised injecting facilities save lives, help people get treatment for addictions, and reduce drug & needle use on our residential streets.
We know that with enough community pressure we can save lives and ensure a safer future for locals and those experiencing drug addiction. By hosting a placard on your front fence, you can help send a powerful message to the State Government that it's time to trial a safe injecting facility in North Richmond.
Note: priority for distribution will be given to residents in the local area.
