RALLY TO WELCOME REFUGEES

People are fleeing for their lives. We are #strongenough to help them.

Four million people are fleeing war in Syria. Two million of those are children.

This Saturday, the Melbourne community will rally to join the European Day of Action to welcome refugees.

Join Richard Di Natale and the Greens as we rally to say that Australia is strong enough to help refugees fleeing danger.

Most Australians have been deeply moved by the horrific images we're seeing of this escalating humanitarian crisis in Syria, and in neighbouring countries where desperate men, women and children are seeking safety.

This week's announcement of an increase of 12,000 refugee places would not have happened without overwhelming community pressure and support.

It's time to keep up the momentum and say that Australia is strong enough to help refugees.

Join other Greens supporters and hear from Richard Di Natale before the rally -- we'll be meeting from 12:15pm outside Mr Tulk café, just around the corner from the State Library on La Trobe St.
